Brandon Sodos
USPTA Certified Pro & Licensed Physical Therapist
Brandon Sodos established SBA Tennis & Pickleball to bring high-quality tennis and pickleball instruction to communities across the Bay Area.
As a licensed physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from CSU Northridge, Brandon has become an expert in human movement analysis, specializing in tennis stroke biomechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. His systematic approach to teaching tennis and pickleball makes learning both fun and accessible for players of all levels. Adult clients value his detailed, constructive feedback, while kids love his energetic and engaging teaching style, which ensures they learn proper form while having a blast.
Brandon’s passion for tennis started early with lessons from his father, a certified pro instructor. He played varsity tennis throughout high school and later competed for three years on UC Santa Barbara’s traveling club tennis team. With over 15 years of competitive playing experience and a current 5.0 NTRP rating, Brandon brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the court.
With more than a decade of professional coaching experience, Brandon has worked with players of all ages and skill levels, from toddlers to senior adults and from beginners to advanced competitors. He has run specialized clinics for youth and adults at a Bay Area tennis academy and has spent the past seven years managing his own successful tennis business.
Brandon is a certified tennis instructor through the USPTA, the gold standard in the industry, and a certified pickleball instructor through the IFP Academy. Jovan Landeros
USPTA Certified Pro
Coach Jovan has over 10 years of professional tennis coaching experience, which includes serving as the Head Coach at a local Bay Area tennis academy for 6 years. While he was there, he specialized in developing junior players. This included organizing leagues/tournaments for juniors, helping turn absolute beginners into varsity-level high school athletes, and working with high school students to excel on their teams. In addition, he was in charge of running classes for adults ranging from complete beginners to 4.0 NTRP rated players. He is also a certified tennis instructor with the USPTA (gold standard in the tennis instruction industry).
As a certified personal trainer with an AA in Kinesiology and who is working towards his BS in Kinesiology, he also has a lot of knowledge about fitness. He likes to incorporate tennis-specific fitness exercises into his tennis classes, along with stressing the importance of technique and strategy.
Jovan started playing tennis when he was 10 and went onto playing for 4 years on his high school’s varsity team. He would then play competitive tennis on De Anza’s College Team. He continues to play competitively with friends and has maintained a 5.0 NTRP rating.

Josh Hascall

With a passion for sports ignited at the the age of 9, his journey into the world of tennis began amidst the greens of golf courses. While his early years were dominated by golf, tennis quickly took over. He made his mark in high school tennis, eventually securing his spot as a top singles player on the varsity team. His collegiate and post-collegiate years were rich with recreational leagues and friendly matches, laying the foundation for his competitive endeavors in USTA and UTR tournaments. Today, he is proud to stand as a player with a 4.0 NTRP rating.
His professional tennis coaching career is highlighted by a PTR Certification, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to teaching. He has served as the JTT Team Captain for multiple teams.
Specializing in coaching players of all ages, from fundamental to academy level, he emphasizes the importance of strong fundamentals in developing a comprehensive skill set. His coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that cross-training in multiple sports can enhance overall athletic performance, and he advocates for tennis as a perfect platform for this development.

Don Le
USPTA Certified Pro
Coach Don has over 10 years of professional tennis coaching experience, working in both recreational and academy-level tennis. He specializes in developing junior players by focusing on technique, strategy, and fostering a love for the game. His coaching experience includes leading Junior Team Tennis (JTT) teams for ages 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U, with two of his teams winning sectionals. In addition, he has served as the Head Coach for Kennedy and Cupertino Middle Schools, where both teams maintained winning records.
Coach Don holds a USPTA Pro Certification, ensuring his instruction meets the highest industry standards. He earned his degree in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay, with a focus on coaching and pedagogy. His academic background allows him to integrate tennis-specific fitness training into his sessions, enhancing player performance and injury prevention.
As a player, Don started competing at the age of 7 and continued throughout middle school and high school, playing varsity doubles for two years. He went on to compete for De Anza College and has played in flex leagues for both singles and doubles, maintaining a 4.0-4.5 NTRP rating.
